Would definitely book again, the hotel met standards. Very good service and staff, we loved our stay in the venue. A patio was the best part.
Food and rooms where fantastic, but most important - everything was very clean. A kitchen was a plus.
The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and the room was comfortable and adequately equipped.
The reception was polite helpful and friendly. we had booked it as a staging post for a visit to our Grandaughter who is at Leeds Uni, and we would certainly consider using it again and recommending it to others.
Room was a good size even though it was advertised as small. Bathroom was good. Overall good value.
Payment was asked for on arrival rather than at checkout which is more customary.
Good value for money. The hotel was a little dated but comfortable and friendly staff.
We felt that for this hotel the restaurant prices seemed a litlle expensive, hence we ate out for our evening meal. Breakfast was excellent but don't ask for fryed or poached eggs at the weekend.
Attractive hotel with impressive window boxes. Comfortable and clean . Good value for money. Good parking.
The hotel looked lovely from the outside , very pretty, nice outdoor seating area. The beds were comfortable. The hotel and room was very clean. The restaurant is lovely, very nicely decorated.
Wasn't really a dislike as such but we were sent up to a room on arrival bit it wasn't ready which was obviously just a communication problem but it was rectified quickly. It would have been good to have bus timetables in reception as staff werent sure of local buses. One last thing was nothing in the grand scheme of things but it was a Shane that poached eggs werent available on a weekend. I understand it is probably due to the number of guests on a weekend but still think that it would be nice to offer thus even if guests pre order and set a time for their breakfast the night before which other hotels do.
Not right in the city centre but within reasonable reach of all major roads. Well kept hotel, lovely flower arrangements in courtyard with tables and chairs set out for relaxation. Large car park. Staff pleasant.
Catering for large events I.e a wedding on the occasion of our stay meant we were precluded from using all facilities although this did not cause us much of a problem. Could do with air conditioning in breakfast/dining room as heat was fairly oppressive on occasions.
This is the 2nd time ive stayed here and i cannot complain about anything at all.The staff and other guests are very polite and helpfull.
1. Very strange and very strong smell, probably carpet cleaner 2. Very close to two main roads. Heavy traffic noise all through the night. 3. Poor value for money
I loved all the hanging baskets and sitting out in the courtyard, the resturant was good. The room was adequate for what I needed as my event was in the evening so I really didn't need the room for very long.
The water for a bath wasn't hot enough and I then tried to have a shower and again I don't think it was particularly hot, it was a shame as this would make me think twice about staying there.
Beautiful grounds, and lovely seating area outside.
The bar closes at 11pm. (Fine if you are on business but very early if you are on holiday). Hotel guests arrived after a four hour journey at 11pm and they could not even get a sandwich from the hotel.
Friendly staff and easy to get to location
Website said free wifi in every room but it didn't work in my room...had to go down to reception to use internet. I specifically asked for a room where the internet was available when I booked.
Cleean room. Pretty good breakfast included.
Had to pay £7 extra to upgrade to a large double room to fit the childs bed that we had requested when booking. This was on top of the £12 extra for the childs bed.
